4 Easy Ways To Eliminate Foot Odor

It can be very difficult to feel self confident when you suffer from foot odor problems. You're always worried that your friends and family might suddenly catch a whiff of your stinky feet and be grossed out by them. Luckily, there are a wide variety of easy things that you can do to help fix this problem.

1. Air Your Feet Out

One of the most common reasons for foot odor is that feet tend to smell when they get all wet and sweaty. Therefore, one of the best ways to prevent and eliminate foot odor is to take your socks and shoes off and let your feet air dry as much as possible.

2. Consider Your Diet

When your body is deficient in the mineral zinc, this can lead to foot odor problems. Beef, pumpkin seeds, lentils, and cashews are all excellent sources of zinc. Incorporating some of these foods into your diet on a regular basis is a great way to help get rid of nasty foot odor.

3. Try A Black Tea Soak

Tannic acid which can be found in black tea works really well at destroying odor causing bacteria. Therefore, soaking your feet in black tea is truly an excellent way to help cure your stinky feet problems. Strong black tea works best for this so you'll want to be sure to let the tea steep for a while before soaking your feet in it.

In order to achieve the best results from this, you should do a black tea foot soak for 30 minutes a day seven days a week.

4. Give Your Antiperspirant or Deodorant A Try

You may not have realized this, but the very same deodorant or antiperspirant that you use on your underarm area also tends to be highly effective at getting rid of foot odor. However, the spray on version of antiperspirant or deodorant works best for this, as spraying it on makes it easier to get in between all of your toes. Whether you're at work, the gym, or some other place, you should always keep some deodorant on you, as it's definitely a great way to quickly take care of your smelly feet problems.

There's no doubt about it that dealing with foot odor can be quite embarrassing. Fortunately though, trying even just one or two of these tips should really go a long ways in helping your feet smell fresh and clean.
